Year 7 - September 2023 Entry
If you wish to apply to join us, you first need to complete the entrance tests which take place at the end of September 2022 (date to be confirmed). Online applications for the entrance test will open in May 2022. You will receive an automated response that your application has been received and in due course you will be provided with further details regarding the procedure for the test day.
Usually you could come and take a look at why you should join us, at one of our Open Days. However, as we are currently restricting visitors to the school, our open days have been postponed until further notice. Please enjoy the links on our home page to get a flavour of life at Newstead Wood School in the meantime.

Familiarisation Material available to Pupil Premium Students
If your daughter is in receipt of Pupil Premium, we are pleased to be able to offer access to an additional online package of around 10-hours familiarisation material, that has been developed by the Grammar School Heads Association, especially for Pupil Premium students. If you indicate Pupil Premium on the application form, once we have verified this, we will send you a logon code especially for you, so you can access the material on the online platform hosted by Frog.
