Alan Blount, Headteacher at Newstead Wood School, said:
“I am delighted that Ofsted has recognised all the excellent work going on here at Newstead Wood School and how all our students “thrive here”. We are all committed to creating the very best learning environment with the very best opportunities for each student. Governors, staff, parents/carers and, most importantly, the students, all work hard every day to create something very special in our school. I look forward to continuing to see Newstead Wood School grow in strength as we embark upon the next chapter moving ahead.”
In a letter to parents at the school, Sir Jon Coles, Chief Executive of United Learning and Dame Sally Coates, Director of Secondary Academies, said:
“The report summarises what we all know; that Newstead Wood is an exemplary school whose staff and students share an ambition for excellence that they continually achieve. The report is a pleasure to read and is wholly complimentary about your children, highlighting their development into “well rounded individuals who understand their role in a changing world” who thrive at the school and “treat their peers and staff with mutual respect”.”
