Newstead Wood School Students Celebrate A Level Success

Students at Newstead Wood School are celebrating A Level results today in which 36% of grades were awarded A* or A grades and 67% of grades were awarded A* to B.

Notable successes include:

  • Magda Cienciala, who was awarded 4 A*s in German, Polish, History and Politics;
  • Molly Carew, who received 3 A*s in Biology, Politics and Psychology;
  • Isabel Freedman, who received 3 A*s in Classical Civilisation, English Literature and History.

18 other students received A* or A in every subject and will now go on to universities including Cambridge, Durham, Sheffield and Exeter to read subjects including HSPS, History and Spanish, Medicine and Biochemistry.

 

Mr Blount, Headteacher of Newstead Wood School, said:

 

“I would like to congratulate all of our students receiving their A level results today. They can be proud of their achievements and all of the hard work and effort they have put into their studies. They embark on the next step of their education with our very best wishes and we look forward to hearing about their future success at university.”
