- Enrolment for external candidates with an offer will take place in the Main Hall from 11.00am. You must bring your GCSE Statement of Results.
- If possible, please bring your Unique Pupil Number and/or Unique Learner Number with you. These are available from your current school, if it is a state school. (If you have only been educated within the independent school system you will not have these.)
- If you wish to change the A Level subjects you originally chose, please mention this to the staff when you meet with them at enrolment.
All other applicants from other schools (whether you previously applied to Newstead Wood or not) - please come and see us from 12:00pm:
- If you have achieved the required grades for the specific subjects you wish to study at A Level, please do come and see us, ensuring you bring your Statement of Results with you.
- You will need to have achieved at least 8 GCSE passes, with grade 6 or above in four of those subjects, and at least grade 7 or above in another four subjects (minimum grade 7 in Maths and English). However, it should be noted that, in line with our Admissions Policy, we will mainly be looking for candidates with grades 8/9 in the more popular subjects such as Mathematics and the Sciences.
- Our full requirements regarding specific courses can be viewed here.
- If possible, please bring your Unique Pupil Number and/or Unique Learner Number with you. These are available from your current school, if it is a state school. (If you have only been educated within the independent school system you will not have these.)
- We may be able to enrol you on the day, but applicants may be given a provisional offer for our most highly competitive subjects and we will then be in contact from Friday 22 August to confirm whether we can make a firm offer or not.
Staff will be on a brief lunch break between 12.30pm – 13.00pm so please be aware you may have a short wait before you are seen.
All candidates:
If you are not able to visit us on Results Day due to being on holiday, you may email your Statement of Results to sixthformadmissions@newsteadwood.co.uk with a brief note of which A Level subjects you would like to study. A member of staff will review your results and will respond to you to let you know if we can make you an offer of a place with us.
However, we would love to meet you in person so if at all possible please do visit us at the school on Thursday 21 August once you have received your results.
We wish you the very best of luck!
