On Wednesday 25 March, part of the Chamber Choir went on a Music tour to Venice in Italy. Though we left rather early in the morning (4am!), we were still able to pull through and make it to Venice! It was interesting to be in a town with no vehicles and surrounded by canals.
It was an astonishing and fascinating opportunity to perform the Fauré Requiem in concerts at Santa Maria dei Miracoli church, San Pietro di Castello church and a mass at San Anthonio’s Basilica, Padua.
As well as this, we also had the chance to visit some amazing places, like the Rialto market and St. Mark’s Square. These were just a few opportunities for us to spend some money!
Overall, we all thoroughly enjoyed the trip, it was a wonderful experience.
We are very grateful and would love to say thank you to Mr Flanagan, Mrs Sleath and Mrs Beney for being in charge and encouraging us to try new things, explore new places and make memories that will last forever.
