Computer Science Journal - Recursive Review

We are pleased to launch this year's Computer Science journal- Recursive Review.

It is a fitting name. In computing, recursion is when a problem keeps calling on a smaller version of itself until it reaches a base case: the simplest point, where the answer can stand on its own. There is even a long-running joke that if you look up "recursion" in the dictionary, the entry just says "see recursion," sending you straight back to where you started. This journal has the same happy habit. It is a genuine cross-curricular effort; the contents span geography and the environment, healthcare and biology, physics and space travel, finance, sport, music, maths, and art and design; yet whichever subject an article sets off from, it keeps leading back to the same idea, that computing runs through all of them. I am certain that many of you will find an article that connects to a subject you like.

Recursive Review 2026

Congratulations to every contributor, and to the Year 10s and Year 12s especially for the sheer number of entries; they've done themselves proud.

Big thanks to our Year 12 editors, Kelechi U, Eimaan A, David B and Uva D , who brought the whole journal together.

Enjoy!
