Over the last two weeks the whole of Year 8 have been to Beckenham Place Park on the rivers fieldwork trip to study the River Ravensbourne. The groups were lucky to have wonderful weather on all the days they visited. The students were studying how rivers shape the local landscape, looking at the river's width, depth, velocity and the processes that occur such as erosion and deposition. The students worked very diligently, took detailed notes, and demonstrated excellent knowledge of the geographical terms used.
