Year 12 Work Experience

Year 12 Work Experience Programme – Monday 1st- 5th July 2019

During Enrichment Week all Year 12 students take part in our annual Work Experience programme. To experience the world of work is hugely important; work experience gives students a chance to learn those all-important transferable skills and as technology changes our business world, improves skills such as cognitive flexibility, collaboration, emotional intelligence and creativity. Not only does it add impact to a UCAS application, significant amounts of employers say it is critical when recruiting young people.

Work experience benefits include:

  • Obtain a wider awareness of the world of work
  • Develop self-awareness
  • Learn outside the classroom
  • Develop valuable employment skills - including: communication; problem solving; teamwork; business awareness; use of technology; personal development and self-management
  • Test-drive a possible future career option
