ENROLMENT DAY 2024

Year 12 Enrolment takes place on GCSE Results Day - Thursday 22 August 2024.

Enrolment takes place in school, in person.

Current Newstead Wood Students:

Enrolment is in the School Gym from 8.30am - 10.00am where you will be able to collect your results and discuss any required subject changes.

External applicants with a Conditional Offer:

Enrolment for external applicants with an offer will take place in our Main Hall from 11.00am.  You must bring your Statement of Results, which will be issued by your current school, as we will need to take a copy of this.

If you wish to change the subjects you originally chose, you must mention this when you arrive at the school so that we can direct you to the appropriate member of staff for discussion.

Staff will be on a lunch break between 12.30pm and 13.00pm so please be aware you may have a brief wait to be seen.

External applicants on our Waiting List:

If you were given a place on our waiting list and have achieved the required grades, please come and see us from 13.00pm.

You must bring your Statement of Results, which will be issued by your current school, as we will need to take a copy of this.

If you wish to change the subjects you originally chose, you must mention this when you arrive at the school so that we can direct you to the appropriate member of staff for discussion.

Please note that if you qualify for a place we may be able to enrol you on the day, but for our most highly sought after subjects it may be necessary to provide you with a provisional offer.  We would then confirm to you on Friday 23 August 2024 if we are able to offer you a firm place.

External applicants who:

  • did not originally apply to Newstead, or
  • applied but did not receive a Conditional Offer and were not placed on our Waiting List,

Please come and see us at Newstead on Results Day from 14.30pm - 15.30pm for a chat about your results and the subjects you are interested in studying.  You will need to have achieved our minimum requirements (please see here for confirmation of those requirements) but please bear in mind that many of our courses are already full and there may not be space for you even if you have achieved our minimum requirements.

You must bring your Statement of Results, which will be issued by your current school, as we will need to take a copy of this.

FOR ALL CATEGORIES ABOVE:

If you would like a family member or friend with you, please only bring one person as it gets very busy on the day and space in the waiting areas is limited.

You cannot send someone to enrol for you.  We will always prefer to meet you in person but if it is impossible for you to come and see us on Results Day, you may send a clear full copy of your Statement of Results to sixthformadmissions@newsteadwood.co.uk with confirmation of the subjects you are interested in.  A member of staff will review this and will be in contact.

We wish you all the best of luck with your results and look forward to seeing you on GCSE Results Day!
