Applications to Year 12 - 2027 entry
Our Open Evening for all applicants is on Thursday 26 November. Booking will open via a link on this page on Monday 5 October 2026.
Applications will open at 8.30am on Monday 23 November 2026. A link to the application form will be placed on this page. We ask that Year 11 students complete this form themselves, rather than their parents.
The application form will be closed at 3.00pm on Friday 12 February 2027 and no further applications can be accepted after that time for any reason.
After the deadline has passed, we will not be able to accept any requests to update grade information, as analysis of the forms received will already be in progress.
Please see below for some further information on how to complete the application form and the overall process:
* Your birthday should fall in the range of 01/09/2010 to 31/08/2011 to apply for a place in Year 12. If you are currently being educated outside of your age cohort, please email sixthformadmissions@newsteadwood.co.uk to check if you may apply. You should include your date of birth and explain why you are being educated outside of your age cohort.
* Please enter your personal email address on your application – do not enter your school email address.
* We do not require references.
* There is no entrance exam.
* Please do not enter the grades of any GCSEs you have already taken - these cannot be taken into consideration. As stated in our Admissions Policy, we require 8 or more GCSE grades achieved in the same exam season. Only enter details of the GCSE subjects you are currently studying.
* You will be asked to upload a full, clear copy of the report issued by your school showing your predicted grades. This needs to show your full name and the predicted grades for every subject that you currently study.
* We will not accept cropped, handwritten or hand typed documents. If you do not upload a full, clear document we will not contact you for a full copy. It is your responsibility to ensure we receive the correct format.
* If your school does not provide predicted grades, please upload a copy of your most recent Year 11 school report showing your current grades for all GCSE subjects being studied. We will use a grade that is one above your most recent grade as your predicted grade for your application.
* We cannot accept “Target” grades for your application as they are not linked to your current academic level.
* After the application deadline, we will analyse the applications received to consider which applicants should receive a Conditional Offer.
* Conditional Offers will be sent by email to the relevant applicants in mid-March 2027.
* This offer reserves you a place in Year 12 on the condition that you achieve the same or higher grades in your GCSEs.
* You do not need to accept a Conditional Offer – only if you are made a formal offer on Results Day will you need to accept/decline.
* If you wish to change the subjects you wish to study, your Conditional Offer will be withdrawn. It is better to wait for your GCSE results and then discuss any potential subject changes with us on Results Day.
* Holders of Conditional Offers will be contacted in the Spring/Summer term to invite them to a Taster Day.
