What will students be studying in Drama this year?

In Year 11 students will be attending a production of a play. For the course students are expected to write a critical evaluation of live theatre and students will be putting together a set of preparation notes from the theatre visit in order to write their evaluation.

Students will also complete a 6 hours practical workshop on a theme, this will be improvisation based and will focus on the use of drama strategies, medium and elements for exploration. Students will, need to keep a written record of the workshop as they will be writing up a set of exploration notes to show their understanding.

Finally students will be working towards group performances that will take place in early May: these may be devised or scripted pieces.
